This is the first post on the blog. I plan to write short notes here, mostly things I keep coming back to in research, teaching, and the cloud-native systems work I do day to day. Nothing too formal, nothing too long.

The aim is to give the ideas I work with somewhere to live outside of papers and lecture notes. Papers are the long form; this is the running commentary.
